April, 2002 - Week 2
Film Border
Tutorial URL: http://www.tut.pspug.org/tut7eff/filmbdr_v7.htm.

Our assignment for this week is:

We learned how to make a unique bordered background this week! ;o) This could be used as a background for a web page or even stationery. Lets use what we learned to make some stationery for our letters. ;o) You could also show them on a background of what you did in class. ;o)

As usual, have fun!! ;o)

I figured out how to make new stationery in Outlook 2000 but, couldn't figure out how to display it on a web page. <g> So, here is what I'm posting...

This is the background I finished in class. It looks distorted because I adjusted the width and height in the html code. You can click on the image to see what it would look like as a background for a web page.

Here is a second background I made. Last weekend, I went to Liberty State Park (in Jersey City, New Jersey) to see the Tribute in Lights. After we had our lesson Thursday night, I had the idea to make a remembrance background with some of the pictures I took. I also found an old picture of the Statue of Liberty, with NYC in the background, for the third picture. I scanned the 3 photos and made the background you see below. It looks distorted because I adjusted the width and height in the html code. You can click on the image to see what it would look like as a background for a web page. Also, since I was using photos, I saved this background as a jpg file since they work better than gifs for photos.

Thanks wintermoon!
